Chicago’s civic pride took a faint hit during Monday night’s season premiere of “The Bachelorette.”
Don’t worry, Jen Schefft did great in her debut as the show’s star. But poor David, a marketing consultant in the city, didn’t fare so well.
The drama of the first rose ceremony proved too much for David: He passed out, and Jen passed on him.
Fortunately he was OK after a drink of water and a few deep breaths.
“I got a little lightheaded,” he said later on the show. “I needed to take a little break, a little breather. I felt like maybe that’s the reason I didn’t get a rose. You know, that’s just the way it is.”
