This is regarding Mary Schmich’s column “Honk if you’re a jerk–who else would?” on Jan. 12, about people honking their automobile horn.

Maybe some people (like myself) are using their horn more often because we have been burned by not using the horn.

What did the driver’s insurance company do?

It only paid 90 percent of the loss.

The insurance company stated that I was 10 percent responsible for not honking my horn!
