In the Jan. 18 Voice of the people section, I read two letters talking about not making enough money to live on. One (“Minimum wage”) was about making about $10,712 annually, no benefits, working 52 weeks a year. The other (“Teaching’s costs”) didn’t mention her salary, but many teachers earn $40,000 to $80,000 annually, plus receive benefits and work about 36 weeks per year. Gimme a break.
