Jane Belser Wolf, of Chelsea, MI, formerly of Flossmoor, IL, age 86, died Jan. 30, 2005 in Chelsea. She was born July 26, 1918 in Detroit, the daughter of Paul P. and Esther Mary, nee Schenk, Belser. Upon the death of her husband, she returned to her home in Chelsea. Jane and Bernard were longtime members of Ravisloe Country Club, Homewood, IL and the Tucson National Country Club, Tucson, AZ. She was treasurer and a lifetime member of the University of Chicago Mother’s Aid Organization, as well as an avid supporter of U of M Football. On July 22, 1944 she married Bernard R. Wolf, who preceded her in death on Jan. 5, 2004. Jane was a devoted wife for 59 years, as well as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include her children, Jonathan (Joan) of Chelsea, MI, Deborah (David) Allen of Smyrna, GA and David (Nancy) of Chicago, IL; and her beloved grandchildren, Jason, Joseph and Jeremy Wolf, Jessica and Robert Allen and Caroline and Peter Wolf. Funeral Services were held Feb. 1 at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea, MI, with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Chelsea. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chelsea Community Hospital, Faith in Action, or the charity of your choice.
