Rest easy, Paris-ites. Your liege, Princess Hilton, won’t be prosecuted by the mean ol’ district attorney after all.

Los Angeles County prosecutors said Wednesday that they won’t file charges against Paris for allegedly swiping a copy of her own sex tape, “One Night in Paris,” from a West Hollywood newsstand, according to E! Online.

The district attorney’s office dropped the case in the “interest of justice,” a spokesperson said. (Because a privileged heiress needs a break in this world.) Prosecutors also lacked “sufficient evidence.” It’s not like she was caught on surveillance video that was broadcast last month for the world to see.

“I’m disappointed,” newsstand owner Jason Swing told “Celebrity Justice.” “I’m almost speechless.”

Clerk Jerry Castro asked, “Who does she think she is? What is the D.A. thinking that they’re letting her get away with this?”

Maybe Paris will get her due from the cast of “Saturday Night Live” when she hosts the show this weekend. Last season she did a mock interview with Jimmy Fallon during SNL’s “Weekend Update” segment.
