Miriam Benson Rigotti, born January 5, 1915 in Omaha, NE, died after a series of illnesses on February 2, 2005. Much loved daughters, Karen Rigotti and Ann Clark and son-in-law, Jeff Clark of Evanston and dear niece, Penny Lomagno of Ventura, CA, as well as other nieces and nephews survive her. Mrs. Rigotti graduated from the University of Chicago and worked as a bacteriologist prior to her marriage to John L. Rigotti and the birth of their first child. After settling first in south suburban Park Forest as one of the first 50 families there, they then moved to Homewood where Mrs. Rigotti was active in school and community work. Following the death of her husband in 1982, Mrs. Rigotti moved to Wilmette to be closer to her daughters and son-in-law. Until recently, she was an active volunteer at the Chicago Botanic Garden. Memorial services are pending. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the University of Chicago, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra or the Chicago Botanic Garden.
