Jack White almost had a white stripe–around his neck.
The “The White Stripes” frontman nearly became a priest, he admitted in an interview with “60 Minutes Wednesday.”
“I’d got accepted to the seminary in Wisconsin, and I was going to become a priest, but at the last second I thought, ‘I’ll just go to public school,’ ” the 29-year-old rocker said.
“I had just gotten a new amplifier in my bedroom, and I didn’t think I was allowed to take it with me.”
White also talked about how his unlikely partnership with country legend Loretta Lynn started with a dedication to her on the CD “White Blood Cells” and culminated with White producing her Grammy-nominated album “Van Lear Rose.”
