Phyllis Mae Lang, age 87, of LaPorte, IN, formerly of Palos Park, IL, passed away on February 9, 2005 at Fountainview Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born December 20, 1917 in Chicago, IL, to James and Ethel, nee Johnson, Welsh. On June 23, 1938 she married Raymond P. Lang, who preceded her in death on December 25, 1986. She is survived by her children, Bonnie P. Wiese, Lockport, IL, Raymond J. Lang and Robert C. Lang, both of LaPorte, IN; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; her sister, Edna Peterson, Brooksville, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Curtiss K. Lang; a sister, Irene Knoll, a brother, James Welsh; and a granddaughter, Mallory Lang. Visitation Friday, February 11, from 11 to 1 p.m. at Essling Funeral Home, LaPorte, IN. Memorial service to follow, 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jeff Zigler, officiating. Former Lady Elks member and active in local Bowling Leagues.
