Matthew A. Dalman, age 76, late of Manhattan Township, died Saturday, February 12, 2005, at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Dorothy Iwanski Dalman; four daughters, Patricia Poplawski of Joliet, Deborah Doyle of Manhattan, Denise (Pete) Majeres of Orland Park and Karen (John) Teeling of Billings, Montana; two sons, Gregory Dalman of Pasadena, TX and Jeff (Jennifer) Dalman of Albia, Iowa; 12 loving grandchildren; one sister Mary (Emery) Perret of LaGrange Park; numerous nieces and nephews; preceded in death by his parents Mathew W. and Anna Grotz Dalman. Matt was born in Blue Island, IL, in 1929. Served his nation with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a meat cutter by trade and enjoyed raising his farm animals. Funeral Service for Matthew A. Dalman will begin at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2005, from the Forsythe Funeral Home, Manhattan, to St. Joseph Church, 235 E. North St., Manhattan. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, 3 to 8 p.m. Memorials to the Manhattan Paramedics or Masses would be most appreciated.
