– This year’s Chicago Maritime Festival will be Feb. 26 at the Chicago Historical Society, 1601 N. Clark St. The event will feature maritime music and presentations, including WTTW’s Geoffrey Baer on the making of the 2000 Race to Mackinac documentary and Shedd Aquarium’s “Discover Right Bite” initiative for the health of our oceans by encouraging informed decision-making when buying seafood. Seminars and workshops are 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. ($8, $4 for those 12 and younger), the evening concert begins at 7 p.m. ($20 for all). An all-day pass (for seminars and the concert) is $25.
