Celebrities’ pre-Oscar pampering may begin days before the show.
And Estee Lauder is there to help.
The Estee Lauder Beauty Spa in Beverly Hills may be the most glamorous, exclusive spa in the world. It’s open five days this year and only offers appointments to Oscar acting nominees.
“The event was really conceived of as a very exclusive and luxurious experience for really the top, top celebrities that are nominated each year,” said Melissa McCarthy, vice president of global communications for Estee Lauder. “We wanted to do something to honor the nominees and provide them with the ultimate pampering experience during the last final days before the big night. It’s really as much a celebration as it is a luxury.”
From Feb. 23-27, Estee Lauder transforms the penthouse suite of The Regent Beverly Wilshire into a full-service spa. The actor nominees can go to the spa with a guest to escape the preshow hustle for a complimentary massage, manicure or facial. If the celebrities can’t get to the spa, Estee Lauder will send the experience to them–including a masseuse, candles, music and even pedicure bowls filled with rose petals.
Although McCarthy would not divulge which celebrities would be pampered this year, past customers include Charlize Theron, Naomi Watts and Renee Zellweger.
