Laura Johnson, nee McKay, age 91. Beloved wife of the late Robert M.; loving mother of Steven (Harriet) Johnson, and Louise M. Johnson; cherished grandmother of McKay, Ryan, Mary, Mandy and Tammy; proud great grandmother of Lieah, Jermaine, and Mariah; dear sister of the late James B. (Faith) McKay and the late Ruth (Joseph) Wetherill. She was a volunteer with the Red Cross Nurses Aid during WWII, a graduate of Cornell College at Mt. Vernon, Iowa. Employed 12 years at Maywood Village Hall in the credit union, helped organize the 25,000th Credit Union. Services will be private. Funeral care provided by G.L. Hills Funeral Home.
