Edward J. Stec, age 79, of Glendale, AZ, passed away peacefully at home February 22, 2005, formerly of Alsip, IL, retired in 1984 from Continental Can Company after 40 years of service. A dedicated volunteer for the American Red Cross, Westside and Glendale Food Banks, Child Crisis Center and Meals on Wheels. He was a gifted craftsman who enjoyed working with wood, stained glass and Swedish weaving. Loving father of Stanley, Therese, Suzanne, Christina and Cynthia; dear brother of John, Frank, Bob and Evelyn; cherished grandfather of Gregory, Natalie, Anthony and Andrew. Visitation Sunday, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Monday, 9 a.m., from Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main St. (1 blk. S. of Ogden Ave.), Downers Grove, to St. Joseph Church. Mass 10 a.m. Interment Private. Edward touched many lives and will be missed by all.
