An anonymous bidder paid $650,000 for the right to name a newly discovered species of monkey, with the proceeds going to the Bolivian park where the primates live. The winning bidder beat out talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres, among others, according to New York-based online auction house Charity Folks, which handled last week’s transaction.
