With all the hyperventilating about Social Security, it seems to me one thing is clear: You can’t live on Social Security alone.
Benefits will be reduced or taxes will go up or money will be printed (inflationary) to support the system. That means we need to learn to save more for our retirement.
What’s clear is that if we don’t take that responsibility, then the government will do it for us. Ergo privatization.
