Barbara J. Ames, 84, of Evanston, Illinois, an avid Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Northwestern Wildcats fan, passed away April 15, 2005 at her daughter’s home in Arizona. She is survived by daughter Patti Gorlach (Denny); granddaughters Christy Glowinski (Jeff), Cari Swalley (Rob) and Kelly Keslinke; great-grandchildren Ryan, Meghan, Kyle and McKenzie; nephew Jeff Long (Pam); and lifetime friend to many. A memorial service is being held Saturday, April 23 11 a.m. at Northminister Presbyterian Church, 2515 Central Park, Evanston.
