The Catholic Church couldn’t have picked a worse choice to succeed Pope John Paul II. Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, the new Pope Benedict XVI, doesn’t have the personality, energy, vitality, empathy, communication skills, charisma, sense of humor, the heart or the great ability to relate to people to adequately fill the shoes of the recently deceased pope.
Control rather than compassion seems to be his strong point.
He will be a deep disappointment.
