Maria Serfecz, nee Majczan, a native of Hungary. Beloved wife of Joseph of 58 years; loving mother of Judy (Kurt) Edlund; cherished grandmother of Judith Marie and Kurt II Edlund; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends in the Chicago area, Canada, and Hungary. She was a retired owner and operator of the Ben Franklin store at Grove Mall Shopping Center. A member of St. Stephen King of Hungary Church of Chicago. Visitation from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 Arlington Heights Rd., Elk Grove Village. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Saturday at Queen of the Rosary Church.
