Illinois St. 312-379-0137) features braised Kobe beef brisket and brined rotisserie chicken with traditional starters and side dishes ($300, serves 12), plus they’re offering a ritual Seder plate that includes symbolic foods like roasted lamb shankbone ($12). Order through the catering department with 24-hour advance notice, or get grab-and-go options ($3-$18) like chopped liver and matzo ball soup. The holiday dinner at the Gold Coast’s Ashkenaz Deli (12 E. Cedar St. 312-944-5006) offers a choice of entree (roasted chicken, beef brisket or turkey) with sides of apple kugel, carrot, prune and sweet potato tzimmes, gefilte fish, matzo ball soup and chopped liver ($15.95 per person). River North’s Zealous (419 W. Superior St. 312-475-9112) offers a three-course, prix-fixe Seder dinner Saturday night ($30), which includes gefilte fish with celery root foam, braised short ribs with parsnip latkes and roasted beet horseradish, and lemon cheesecake with matzo crust.
