Kasey Kahne won his third pole in as many tries Friday and became the first driver in Richmond International Raceway history to sweep the top spot in the Busch and Nextel Cup races. Kahne, who edged Ryan Newman last week at Darlington, did it again just a few hours after winning the top starting spot for Friday night’s Funai 250 Busch Series race, won by Carl Edwards. Kahne was fourth.
– Duke forward Shavlik Randolph has declared himself eligible for the NBA draft, the school said. In three seasons, Randolph averaged 6.3 points and 4.3 rebounds.
