Ed Levine polished off 1,000 slices of pizza in 20 cities while writing his book, “Pizza: A Slice of Heaven: The Ultimate Pizza Guide and Companion.” Guess what? He didn’t think much of Chicago’s pies. “I have to wear a Kevlar vest in Chicago,” he told The Washington Post. “It’s a big city, but no one is making great pizza.”
