“Mean Girls” star Lindsay Lohan will be troubled by her troubled parent Michael Lohan no more.
At least not for the next 1 1/3 to 4 years, which is the term a Nassau County, N.Y., judge gave the actress’ dad despite his pleas for a long-term alcohol treatment program. He’ll serve the time in an upstate prison.
The charges stem from Michael Lohan attacking his brother-in-law with a shoe at a party in May 2004, a February 2005 car accident in which he hit a utility pole while driving drunk, and other incidents.
The judge ordered Michael Lohan to stay away from wife Dina Lohan and her family, but refused to sign a protection order to keep him away from his daughter in Los Angeles, saying the star is over 18 and would have to request the order herself in court.
