“Sometimes players are right to get angry at the media,” Phil Rogers writes (Tribune, July 3). I’m sure they all do at some point. Does that give Kenny Rogers the right to assault a camerman? Was the cameraman the source of “talk-show blather?” Even though the allegations about Rogers intentionally skipping starts may be false, does Major League Baseball need this embarrasment?

How dare Phil Rogers mitigate Kenny Rogers’ behavior with a trite comment that he “didn’t express himself correctly” . . . Duh! Phil is a a baseball man, and I’m suprised by his lack of outrage.
