In regard to state Sen. James Meeks’ call for a uniform code of conduct for law-enforcement officers, maybe he should call for a uniform code of conduct for state senators and religious leaders (“Meeks rips cop on traffic stop; Lawmaker charges sergeant pulled gun,” Metro, July 15). This incident is not a case of profiling or racism. This incident is a case of one person feeling the law does not apply to him.
