Kathryn Ann Nommensen (Oppelt), nee Peterson, age 59, of Crete, IL, passed Saturday, July 23, 2005, at her home, wife of Edward Nommensen; mother of Sandra (Christopher) Mizner, Colleen (Bill) Burns and Tim (Lisa) Nommensen; grandmother of Leah, Timmy, Connor, Caden and Maggie. Kathryn was a bartender and waitress in the restaurant industry. Visitation Tuesday, July 26, 2 to 9 p.m., at Crete Funeral Home, 1182 Main Street (Dixie Hwy.), Crete, IL 60417.
