Martha E. Michalowski, passed away Aug. 11, 2005 at the age of 96. She always expressed a desire to reach 100. She almost made it. She represented the end of an era in that she was the last of 13 children of Peter and Helen. Raised in the Burr Elementary School District, the Michalowski children included Al, Mary, Peter and Ursula. The married ones included Helen Pardus, Julie Kowalski and Anne Jonczyk. The remainder of the children passed away more than 50 years ago. Martha’s last place of residence was the Norwood Park Home. Prior to that she and her sister, Ursula, lived in the Addison/Central area. Martha is survived by more than 27 nieces and nephews.
