I have two children, ages 6 and 9 years. Their favorite cookie is the Oreo. After eating a healthy sandwich, fruit and low-fat milk, they are each allowed three Oreos. Neither one of them is overweight.

I closely monitor their diet and daily activities, as should any diligent parent. I would assume that if every parent would control his or her children’s eating habits and activities, we would not have an obesity problem in this country.

Do not make Kraft Foods or any other food company a scapegoat for a parent’s inability to feed his or her children a healthy, balanced diet.
