“Many men wish death upon me,” 50 Cent rapped on his platinum-selling debut album–and he wasn’t kidding.
The rapper has survived multiple gunshot wounds, and a 2003 search warrant affidavit recently unearthed by The Smoking Gun reveals that Fif believes New York drug lord Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff wants him dead.
Investigators think McGriff orchestrated the last attempt on Fitty’s life, a shooting in 2000, and the affidavit contends that McGriff kept in contact with record label The Inc. (formerly Murder Inc. and home to Ja Rule and Irv Gotti) about Fif’s whereabouts.
SUPPORT GROUP: Sienna Miller is getting by with a little help from her friends–and even Jude Law. The two-timed actress opened up a little to the UK’s GMTV, “Access Hollywood” reports, saying, “My mom, my sister, all my best mates, and Jude have been really supportive and fantastic.” She added, “I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t been a real rough couple of months, but at the end of the day, I’ve got a huge support system.”
UH-OH: Coldplay singer Chris Martin has uttered the dreaded “C” word: country. “Country is a very sleeping beast within us,” Martin told the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times. “We have two things we’re not allowed to do–that’s country and rap–just because of where we’re from. So I think they’ll rear their heads at some point.” For the love of God, Chris, let the beast sleep!
MORE HELP ON THE WAY: More stars are joining the Hurricane Katrina relief effort for the multinetwork benefit “Shelter from the Storm: A Concert for the Gulf Coast.” Jennifer Aniston, Cameron Diaz, Chris Rock and Jack Nicholson are among the stars on board to ask for donations, and Alicia Keys heads a star-studded group of performers that includes Sheryl Crow and Paul Simon.
