Recent reports that the Cubs are considering extending Dusty Baker’s contract have long-suffering Cubs fans reeling. Admittedly, the Cubs’ brain trust gave him the worst outfield and middle-relief staff in the major leagues, but a good manager could have done much more. Please, Cubs, don’t give us another two years of misery.
