This is regarding “STD vaccines in works, but for children; To be most effective, shots would have to be given to preteens, doctors say” (Page 1, Sept. 18), which stated, “Already the injections have drawn moral opposition from some conservative groups, who fear such immunizations could give young teens a green light to have sex.”
How hard is this? Children get vaccinations all the time. Tell the children the shot protects them against diseases that could attack their reproductive systems when they grow up. That is an accurate statement and certainly enough for a child to know.
