Tessie Gembala, born Aug. 24, 1913, daughter of the late Dominick and Lena, nee Porzzio. She lived in Chicago for over 70 years before moving to Lindenhurst in 1986. She loved her dolls, especially her snow babies. Beloved wife of the late Matthew A.; loving mother of Matthew Ronald (Karen), Edwin James (Patricia Lee) of Hawthorn Woods and the late Ronald Matthew; fond grandmother of Crystalyn Meredith (Timothy) Sehr; dear sister of the late Benedict (Rita) Volpe and the late Maurice (the late Elaine) Volpentesta; fond aunt of many. Funeral Monday 10:30 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Interment Maryhill Cemetery.
