The brother of a woman found slain with three others in Aurora had previously threatened her life, DuPage County State’s Atty. Joe Birkett said Sunday.
Eric Hanson, 28, of Naperville is scheduled to appear in a Wisconsin courtroom Monday to begin the process of extraditing him to Illinois on a felony intimidation charge, Birkett said.
Hanson has not been charged in the slayings, said Birkett, who called that continuing investigation “aggressive.”
Birkett said he approved the intimidation complaint late Thursday, after the four bodies were found but before Hanson was taken into custody.
“There was a threat to kill one of the victims,” Birkett said. “That’s the basis of the intimidation charge. Hypothetically, if he were to be charged with murder, that would be relevant to the case.”
