Everyone in Hollywood is breaking up these days, so why are Nick and Jessica being so darn stubborn?
Us Weekly and Life & Style magazines are declaring Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson’s marriage over, but the celebrity duo fired right back Wednesday with a joint statement denying the rumors.
“Nick and Jessica have not separated,” Simpson’s rep, Brad Cafarelli, said in a statement on the couple’s behalf. “Rumors to the contrary are simply not true.”
Simpson’s papa, Joe, also denied that his daughter’s marriage has ended, shooting a simple “Not true” to E! Online via e-mail.
The latest issue of Us Weekly doesn’t name sources but claims the couple broke up over the weekend. “Split!” screams the cover, due on newsstands Friday. Reps for both magazines told E! they’re standing by their stories.
