A reader recently expressed his dissatisfaction with Molly Ivins’ columns on the Tribune’s Commentary page.
While Ivins’ provocative style would not be the way I would write something, I appreciate her columns because she makes me think. She also backs up her opinions with facts and informs me of events I have not seen reported elsewhere.
When she is wrong, she apologizes.
Contrast this to much of the news on the Bush administration, which seems pretty much to go along with the press releases and official statements spun by the Bush bully pulpit.
