First eBay pulled Britney Spears’ bra off its auction site; now Britney is doing the same.
The pop tart yanked the jewel-encrusted bra out of fear that fans had mistaken it for another collectible. “As correctly stated in the eBay description, this bra was worn by me during promotion of my HBO special, however it is not the one I wore onstage during the ‘Baby One More Time’ performance,” reads a statement on Spears’ Web site.
“I feel the correct thing to do is remove this item from the auction because I don’t want any of you to feel misled.”
It’s the latest chapter in the saga of the bejeweled bra. An eBay staffer originally nixed the auction because of an eBay policy that prohibits the sale of used undergarments. It was restored to eBay before Britney pulled it again, with a high bid topping $30,000 last week.
