Doris Margaret Berghoff, nee Anderson, aged 94 years, preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Jack; mother of Robert (Carolyn), John Jr. (Jean) and Paul (Kathryn); grandmother of Robert (Heather), Christopher (Loretta) and Peter Berghoff, Sarah (Richard) Patterson, Elizabeth (Matthew) Bergmann, John (Kelly) Berghoff III, Emily, Henry, Daniel and David Berghoff; great-grandmother of Anna, Tess and Evan Berghoff, Taylor, Samantha and Halle Berghoff, Joseph and Anna Bergmann and Sophia and Ella Patterson; preceded in death by her parents, Gustaf and Sophia, nee Larson. Born Dec. 30, 1910 in Chicago, IL, died Oct. 6, 2005 unexpectedly. Graduated from Hyde Park H.S. 1928; Univ. of Chicago, 1932; registered dietitian, internship, Cook Co. Hosp., 1932. Faithful Christian, longtime Beverly resident, active for many years in the Infant Welfare Society, Women’s Association of the Chicago Symphony, Kellogg School PTA and Beverly Evangelical Covenant Church. Funeral Service Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, 2 p.m. at Beverly Evangelical Covenant Church, 10545 S. Claremont Ave., Chicago. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
