Paris’ pet posse may be losing a member.
She may have to give up Baby Luv, her pet kinkajou–a raccoon-like tree-dweller from South America–because it’s illegal in L.A.
“We’ll send them a letter just to let them know we’re aware they have a restricted species,” Steve Martarano, spokesman for the California Department of Fish and Game, told the New York Post.
Paris’ rep Elliot Mintz insisted that “Paris is a law-abiding citizen. If she receives a letter from the Fish and Game people, I’m sure it will be reviewed and acted upon accordingly.”
Paris may have to (gasp!) go back to one of her old faves–like a dog or a ferret.
PETA’s Lisa Lange had some harsh words for the heiress: “It seems she thinks animals are as disposable as her friends and fiances.”
