Eleanor M. Kuffner, 88 years, formerly of Chicago passed away Monday, Nov. 28, 2005 in Sturgeon Bay, WI. She was born April 7, 1917 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Cornelius and Minnie Marie, nee Kjeldsen Boysen. After graduating from Austin High School in Chicago, she trained at the Art Institute of Chicago. She was employed at AB Dick in Niles as a commercial and graphic artist. On Aug. 25, 1937 she married John Henry Kuffner. They enjoyed the past 30 years living in Door County. Rosemalling was a passion of hers, along with the Door County Lifestyle (Lake and Forests). She enjoyed a pursuit of the Folk Arts of Scandinavia. Survived by her husband, John of Sturgeon Bay, WI; two sons, Richard (Catherine) Kuffner of San Diego, CA, and David (Kathleen) Kuffner of Wilmette; six grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren.
