Man harassed while riding Blue Line
An unknown offender pushed and threatened a 31-year-old man on the CTA Blue Line on Dec. 16, a report said.
The victim was aboard the “L” when the offender approached him, pushed him into a seat and uttered several expletives. The offender was still on the train when the victim got off at the Halsted stop.
The victim contacted police. Officers searched the train but were unable to find the offender.

Girl beaten
A 16-year-old girl was jumped on the 2200 block of West Monroe Street by a group of offenders on Dec. 12, a report said.
The victim was approached by a group of six females, who struck her in the head and body with their fists. The victim broke free, and the offenders fled, the report said.
Store held up
Two store managers were threatened at gunpoint on Dec. 12 by an offender who tried to rob the store, a report said.
The offender was holding a handgun when he entered the store on the 2100 block of South Halsted Street. He approached the managers and said, “You know what to do,” and “Don’t think I won’t pop one of you.” The offender then said to one of the managers, “Give me all the money.”
The managers hit the store’s panic button, alerting the police. The offender then took $3 from a customer and fled.
Mic stolen
A thief took a $1,500 microphone from the home of a 53-year-old man on Dec. 12, a report said. The victim returned to his home on the 1800 block of South Peoria Street and noticed that a box containing the mic was missing. The victim did not think anything else had been taken, the report said.
Words lead to fight
An offender beat a 38-year-old man after a verbal altercation on Dec. 13, a report said.
The fight took place on the 600 block of West Lake Street. After they argued, the offender grabbed the man, punched him in the face, kicked him repeatedly and fled.
Man jumped
A group of three offenders beat up a 26-year-old man on Dec. 11, a report said.
The victim was walking on the 2000 block of West Cermak Road when one of the offenders approached him and hit him in the face. The victim fought off the first offender, but then the two other offenders grabbed the victim, pulled him to the ground and began beating him.
The victim called the police. Officers toured the area and found three offenders who matched the victim’s description. The victim identified the offenders, and police arrested them, the report said.
Tires slashed
A 29-year-old woman’s car was vandalized on Dec. 13, a report said.
The victim’s car was parked in a lot on the 1600 block of West Harrison Street when she discovered that an unknown offender had slashed all four of the car’s tires.
