Ruth M. Newell, a resident of Round Lake Heights and formerly of Chicago, passed away Monday, December 26, 2005 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. She was born July 2, 1913 in Diller, NB to the late Winfield and Rosa Hill. Ruth worked for and was a member of the Chicago Temple First United Methodist Church for over 30 years. Ruth is survived by her husband of 69 years Creston Newell whom she wed July 31, 1936 in Olathe, KS, her children Larry (Carol) Newell of Billings, MT, Sue (Ken) Bennett of Fox Lake, IL; her grandchildren Larry Newell Jr., Linda Newell both of Billings, MT, Debbie Ruscitti of Spring Grove and Scott Newell of St. Petersburg, FL; her great-grandchildren Shaun, Kristine, Rachael, and Brooke Newell, and Jennifer and Anthony Ruscitti; and her brother Charles Hill of Nampa, ID. She was preceded in death by her sister Eunice Poe and her parents. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, December 29, 2005 at 2 p.m., at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, in Libertyville, IL.
