Mildred K. Berger, nee Kurtz, passed peacefully at home on January 7, 2005, of Downers Grove, former longtime resident of Morton Grove. Beloved wife of the late Sidney S. Berger; loving mother of Barbara Burkhardt, Robert (Barbara) Berger and Jean (Roger) Shooter; grandmother of Jennifer (Ronnie) Kraus, Kathryn (Dan) Gjeldum, Lauren, Kara, Stacey and Molly Berger, Sarah and Emily Shooter; great-grandmother of Joshua and Emma Kraus and John Gjeldum. Visitation Monday, 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral service Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Adams-Winterfield & Sullivan Funeral Home, 4343 Main St., Downers Grove (1 blk s Ogden). Interment Memory Garden Cemetery.
