The Barrington High School orchestras will present two concerts in the Johnson auditorium at Barrington High School, 616 W. High school students considering careers in conservation can apply for the Mitchell Memorial Conservation Scholarship, an endowed fund managed by the McHenry County Conservation District. The fund helps students attend environmental workshops, camps and career seminars. It is not intended for funding college fees or tuition. The deadline to apply is March 1. Sheriff Keith Nygren of McHenry County will award a $500 Illinois Sheriff’s Association scholarship to a county resident wishing to pursue higher education during the next academic year.
