To accommodate domestic surveillance you suggest fixing the law to correct its evasion (“Bright lights, no answers,” Editorial, Feb. 8). The evasion needs correction, not the law. Our president has gone too far. We did not elect our Big Brother. He violates both law and ethics.

Checks and balances help all public servants, most especially during turbulent times, lest servants presume to be kings.
