A three-session family anger group will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 16, April 13 and May 11at the Conyers Learning Academy, 2800 Central Rd., Rolling Meadows. Topics will be the cause and effects of anger, and anger management for parents and children. Participants may attend any session. The Environmental Education Committee is collecting clean socks, nylons, onion bags and old jewelry to support the Hamill Family Play Zoo at Brookfield Zoo during March. All district parents of children with developmental disabilities ages 14 and older may participate in individual meetings with Community Alternatives Unlimited from 6 to 9 p.m. March 15 in Palatine High School, 1111 N. Rohlwing Rd., Palatine. The organization is the first agency in Illinois to provide independent case management services to individuals with a wide range of developmental disabilities. Saudatu Mahdi, secretary general of the Women’s Rights Advancement and Protection Alternative (WRAPA), will be the keynote speaker at the school’s Women’s Day.
