“South Park” creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker haven’t revealed who will voice Chef now that Isaac Hayes has quit, but RedEye’s got a few saucy suggestions.
Charlie Murphy
After skewering celebrities like Rick James and Prince on “Chappelle’s Show,” Murphy entered the ‘toon world voicing a white Iraqi war veteran with a thang for street slang on the politically incorrect “Boondocks.”
Dave Chappelle
Wait a second, maybe the semi-unemployed Chappelle himself would make a better fit for “South Park.” As addict Tyrone Biggums (above), he often talked about a crack-infused drink called “Red Balls.” How much of a leap would it be to hype “chocolate salty balls?”
Anthony Anderson
Anderson is showing off his acting chops as a conniving convict on FX’s “The Shield,” but the comedian has cracked up audiences in “Big Momma’s House” and “Barbershop.” (We left out “Kangaroo Jack” on purpose.)
