Douglas Geren, 52, of Schaumburg, IL, beloved son of Myron and Jeanne Geren of Naples, FL; loving brother of Jon Geren and Debbie Geren of Flossmoor, IL; fond uncle of Jason Geren of Madison, WI; loving brother of Michael Geren and Polly Geren of Atlanta, GA; and fiance of Julie of Schaumburg, IL. Douglas was a Locomotive Engineer employed by the Canadian National Railway in Schiller Park, IL. Douglas attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering earning a BS in Electrical Engineering, where he also became a classroom instructor. He was a member of AFTRA/SAG and worked previously as a radio DJ and Program Director at Radio Stations in North Carolina, Illinois and Wisconsin. Douglas was a Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, IL, to which he es- ecially enjoyed giving his support. Services will be held in Naples, FL for the family and a Mem- orial Service will be held at the Illinois Railway Museum later in the Spring. Contact the museum after May 1st for further information.
