Notre Dame’s critics continue to forget the real reason Boston College is no longer on ND’s schedule (“Other Views,” May 6).
ND’s agreement with the Big East requires it to play three Big East teams per year in football. Boston College’s betrayal of the Big East–BC is known as “Fredo” in the Boston sports press–forced ND’s hand in scheduling another opponent.
Enough with the comments on ND running away from BC. BC ran away from its commitments for a pile of cash.
