This is in defense of columnist Garrison Keillor and in rebuttal to letter writer Bob Westhoff’s comments in “Screeching columnist” (Voice of the people, June 14). May I say just two words: Ann Coulter!
If the best defense is offense, then the conservatives are probably the world’s leading proponents of this tactic. Keillor’s comments generally have a skein of truth and humor running through them, whereas Coulter’s diatribes are vicious, unfounded and uncivil to say the least.
