Grace Teresa Ashack, age 82 of New Castle, died unexpectedly, Monday, June 19, 2006 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born October 10, 1923 in Oak Park, Illinois to the late Anthony and Mary, nee Rizzo, Lombardo. She graduated from River Forest High School in Chicago. She retired from Reliance Electric in Indianapolis as a Sales Representative. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Leonard W. Ashack of New Castle, whom she married June 7, 1947; two sons, Leonard W. Ashack II of Greenwood and Richard J. Ashack M.D. of Grand Rapids, MI; five grandchildren; one brother, Sam Lombardo of Hillside, IL; several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2006 at St. Anne Catholic Church in New Castle with Father Joe Rautenburg officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois on Saturday, June 24, 2006. Friends may call Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
