Rita J. Gaples, 65, of Mettawa and a former resident of Deerfield, beloved wife of Harry Gaples; loving mother of Tony Gaples and Rebecca Gaples (Simon Harrison); devoted grandmother of Liam; dear sister of Rolland (Kay) Klingbeil, Susan (Bob) Burns and Roxie (Bob) Berner. Rita enjoyed artwork and flowers, traveled the world extensively and was a member of the Art Institute, Field Museum and Botanic Gardens.
